Predator Turned Prey is a novel written by Ravyn Crescent when she was very young. When she was 14, she showed the story as a project to her 10th Grade English Teacher who insisted she publish it as it showed heart and true emotion. Ravyn began her writing career when she was only twelve years old and a poem she wrote was accepted for publication. She won a few local awards and credits her writing for setting her free. The main character of the novel, Hunter, was a character she wrote about when she was living at her father's house. This character went through the pain and abuse she suffered and allowed her to express that suffering in a way she did not think would get her in trouble with her father. Truth be told, Ravyn did not have a safe home life with her father, and a poem she wrote about the cruel events that went on there was shown to a councilor at her school, who then showed it to a police officer who decided it would be best for Ravyn to never have to go back there again. After a long battle in court where her father tried to regain custody or even visitation rights, Ravyn gained her freedom and her life when the judge decided he was unfit to be around her.
Predator Turned Prey was written while Ravyn was struggling through the court battles and she showed it to one of the police officers who helped her mother file for an order of protection. The officer told her that she was brave to have gone through this and that if she could share her stories some day, it may benefit many peopl.

Since then, Ravyn worked with Freetheslaves.net and ALERT to finalize her novel and it went into publication. This manga is based on that novel and is drawn by Allyson Boeckman as a way of showing support to Ravyn, a girl who has seen the horrors of this world and decided to fight back against them. You reading this now have already aided her struggle against Human Trafficking and child abuse simply by reading this manga and by reading her novel!
