Human Trafficking is modern day slavery, and anyone, anywhere, can be a victim regardless of race, gender, religion, age, or country.
Slavery never ended.
The fact: This terrible crime is more rampant now than any other time in history. It simply goes by a new name: Human Trafficking.
Don’t mistake Human Smuggling for slavery, they are entirely different. There are no choices for these victims; they are lured in through force, fraud or coercion, and they are trapped in a world they desperately seek escape from.
These modern day slaves are newborn babies sold online, the new, modern day Auction House of our generation. Sold to the highest bidder to do with as they please… not to adopt and have as their child, but to be an item, an object to be exploited and used until their masters are done with them.
Slaves today wish they could be free. They wish they could live the lives of the people they are forced to serve. They wish the money they earned was theirs, or went to their families or went toward their education. They wish they had the choice on where they wanted to go each day, or to be able to tell their boss that they were ill and needed the day off… but they do not have bosses, they have Masters…
